If you own a 1G DSM and want to install a front mount intercooler you know how hard it is to cut out the OEM bumper. You could always just remove it but then your bumper cover is left with no support flapping in the wind. Our race bumper is the solution for you, weighing in at only 2 lbs. (vs. the stock 35 lb bumper) it is waterjet cut from 6061 aluminum. The support itself is made from 1/4" thick material and features threaded holes for the OEM bolts to go right back in place. The brackets are made from 1/8" thick material and help support the weight of the bumper cover. It will fit cores up to 33" wide and 4" thick, larger cores may fit with minor trimming of the brackets. No more zip ties holding your front end together!
